Hello Everybody,
It says "The Garden" is the place to post what your using your Maple for, so I thought I'd let y'all know what's been going on at my end of the world.
Using a Maple to interface to an automotive CAN bus wasn't working out fast enough for me. ( http://forums.leaflabs.com/topic.php?id=802 ) so I wound up going with a different solution there. This left me with a pair of Maple boards sitting on my bench and nothing to use them for.
Months pass...
Some friends and I have been working on playing music on a Solid State Tesla Coil. (SSTC) We originally used an Arduino Uno with a uSD shield to play music. A standard 328 was (mostly) alright for this application, as you can see here:

The next step was to take a MIDI breakout board (from Sparkfun) and tie the coil into a MIDI keyboard. The 16 MHz 328 wasn't quite enough for the task at hand, so I started looking around for another solution. Right about then I stumbled across my unused Maple boards.
I think they're working rather nicely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwREYIpi8hs
Verry nicely... The faster clock speed lets the board deal with much higher pitch notes.
I'm noticing that someone's produced a uSD library. I'm going to start playing with that so I can combine playing music from a uSD card or a keyboard into one package.
I'll keep y'all posted on my progress
