Can I do this with a Maple board?

I want to make a datalogger which can log analogue data and CANBus data from a motorcycle with parallel sensor registration, GPS and other pickup signals. This with a minimum off 500Hz. The GPS not off course. I have been exploring HCS12, Arduino, etc... The one is hardware that's good, but the compiler and everything else costs lots off money. And the other one is to slow.

And a Maple? Why should I buy a Maple for my project?

BMWMPower - approximately, how much data needs to be captured at (a minimum of) 500Hz, and for how long?

Well not that much. 30 minutes is enough. And with every flush it can be cleaned again. 16MB Memory i was thinking off.

134217728 bits 268435 bits/sec = 171 bits/sec for 30 minutes long looks more than enough.

Looks like the Maple is something I can use! Right?

I don't understand your calculation.
30 minutes is 1,800 seconds, so 16MB would be over 9KB/second.

You'd need to add an external memory chip, or an SD memory card, to get 16MB.

Yes attach an EEPROM. But I will order a Maple. I think the board is fast enough and there is a compiler and software.
