Recommand me a lipo battery

For my project, I need to be independent from a power source. Then, I need to be on battery, but, I'm confused with the battery jack.

On the arduino nano, I connect a 9v 180mha battery to the vin pin, but, on the Maple, it's not clear to me, I thing that I can't connect more than 4v and the pin layout is not really well defined for power pins. Can't find a good pin design documentations anyway and schematics are hard to me to read!

Is this battery will fit the power jack and will be ok with the Maple? I want to connect a lot of component on the power source of the maple, XBee is one of them and it need 50mAh to itself, other are very less consuming!

So, what you thing?

Reply: Yes ... I have almost the same battery (1000mah) with the same JST 2 pin connector.

Make sure you read all the precautions (Sparkfun's battery specs) in using this
battery.

Use the white battery connector on the side of the board. If youre usinga single cell 3.7-4.2V lipo (the common kind from sparkfun...but single cell!) you can even use Maple to charge your battery. Simply plug in the battery to the white jack on the side, and close the "BAT" jumper. This is the top jumper in the group. Indicator lights should tell you if youre "charging" or "done"

What about the 6AH 3.7V battery which is just 3 of the 2000mAH in parallel?

That would last a while correct?

I have some 3.7V 600mAH batteries, but they have the wrong connectors (too big or too small, hmph). Where could I get the connectors?

Just solder the wires ... be very careful and insulate the connections afterwards.
Note: Red is positive. Double check your connections or you could do some real damage
due to the high capacity of lithium cells.
You can buy the male "jst" connector from digikey but getting a crimper and pins would cost alot.

What is the maximum capacity that can be used with the Maple?
For example, is it possible to use a 3.7V 2000mAH LiPo battery?
Or is it limited to less than 1000mAH?
Does the integrated LiPo battery charger can handle 2000mAH?

I use 2000maH batteries all the time, the kind from sparkfun with the automatic voltage cutoffs. I recommend that style because Maple will continue to draw current even after you fall below the minimum voltage (~2.5V), thus draining your battery all the way to zero if you let it. This is not good for lipos as you know, and recovering from low voltage takes forever as the charger will trickle charge them back up (days).

Anyway, the battery charger ostensibly only works with single cell batteries, because it tries to be smart about how it charges them. However, as long as you are using 3.7V (which actually have a nominal full voltage of 4.2) lipos you should be fine.
