Hi everyone,
Our official wiki is now available at http://wiki.leaflabs.com !
drews - so this is the 'official' Leaf Labs Wiki?
Merry Christmas, and a Peaceful, Happy New Year to everyone at Leaf Labs, and on the forum
drews,
Wow, cool! Thank you for doing that!
I moved over the Maple JTAG how to guide to the LeafLabs wiki and left a link on OpenCircuits pointing to it.
gbulmer,
so this is the 'official' Leaf Labs Wiki?
http://wiki.leaflabs.com is the official wiki in that the LeafLabs Team endorses and maintains it.
adam,
Thank you for your feedback and for contributing your "Maple JTAG How-To" (http://wiki.leaflabs.com/index.php?title=Maple_JTAG_How_To) to our wiki.
To make the leaflabs wiki more official and used I would link it allong the top bar of the main leaflabs.com website if that was possible with your content management system.
Leaflabs haveing a seperate wiki from their main content allows them to structure their content as they see it. THen they can fold in wiki documentaion and remove wiki info that is then redundant.
I think with the wiki for new things in a more structured way than a forum it improves the quality of documentation. But I chose zen cart as a webshop because they didn't just have a foum or wiki. It shows developers stand behind their product and information and documentation guide design. I would not want to make my next board by someones wiki post as my only source of info.
Heh, interesting remark. I would suppose that for documentation that we stand by in terms of "build your product off of this" one should limit oneself to the docs, not the wiki.
Hmm... looks like the wiki is having major spam issues right now. Perhaps it would be a good idea to set up something like the ReCAPTCHA extension for mediawiki? ( http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ReCAPTCHA )
It can set up captcha for new accounts, and for anonymous edits that contain external links. On another wiki I participate in, this extension works very well for keeping spam out.
Thanks for the suggestion! We noticed the spam, and were wondering what to do about it ourselves.
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext_examples
has a nice example of formatting for source code. When I try it, the formatting looks horrible. Is the syntax highlighting extension installed on the server?
Thanks!
ridgebackred,
No, that extension isn't enabled. Sounds like a good idea.
wiki anti-spam take 1232512390185:
switched up to "Questy-Captcha" built in captcha.
What do guys (and gals) think are some good questions for the captcha prompt?
