   Hello,

   Last night I attended a talk at the New York Academy of Sciences:

   Innovating on a Shoestring: Medical Technologies for the Developing World

   The speaker, Dr. Jacqueline Linnes, is a researcher at the Innovations in International Health program (http://iih.mit.edu).

   After her talk I asked her some questions. When said they prototype using Arduino boards I used the opportunity to promote the Maple. Based on photos from the group they use breadboards, so the Maple mini should fit into their projects.

   Expect an email (or a knock) from Dr. Linnes or someone from her group.

   You, or a distributor, should have a few orders for Maples from BCU who have bough some for use with their Computing & Electronics Undergraduates. I've been working with BCU since summer 2010.

   Our fizzPop stand in "Lives and Times" Tent, next to Coventry Linux group, and Coventry astronomy society had busy and fun day.

   I had a couple of folks interested in Maple (over Arduino).
   Pretty good for something open to the general public, in a park, mainly about live music and entertainment !-)

   If anyone is in the Coventry (UK) area, please come along and say Hi.

   I did a presentation at Coventry Linux User group last night about "Arduino & Beyond".
   I was talking about Maple, and my board, and all the things one would like to do beyond Aduino, and why Cortex-M3 is a good fit.
   Someone volunteered to try to build one of my boards from scratch, i.e. toaster-oven SMD soldering !-)

   we just got a DIY but very ncie reflow in the lab. Its great, definitely cuts down on build time! Plus, we can actually get these blind-pad parts on now.
