   Hello,

   I've started installing the command line tools for the maple board and I've ran into a problem with the dfu-util.

   The tutorial comes to a point where it states:

   "To get access to it from the command line, just make a symbolic link to the binary from some place on your PATH:"

   Is it possible to be a bit more specific? I've looked it up and tried several ways to do this, but none worked so far and I quite don't understand to where is the PATH pointing to.

   Can you guys give me some help on this?

   There's an example command line right under that statement:

   $ ln -s /Applications/OpenMoko\ Flasher.app/Contents/Mac\ OS/dfu-util \
           /somewhere/on/your/PATH/dfu-util

   Of course, /somewhere/on/your/PATH should be changed... I used /usr/bin as it's in my PATH.

   do this:

   $ echo $PATH

   That'll show you your current path. Pick one of those directories and put the link there.

   Which instructions were you following?

   on our docs at:
   http://leaflabs.com/docs/unix-toolchain.html#os-x

   the command is indicated. It *is* possible that mbolivar just caught this and fixed it since youve been there ;) But perhaps its missing somewhere else in the docs?

   The confusion was from the poster not knowing what the PATH was. I missed that part of his post, but it was caught by maniacbug's reply.
