I have been using DAC for years, and read through the STMR0008 manual, where data 'injected mode' is repeated many times, but nowhere have I found a simple explanation to what t--h 'injected data mode is'.
I searched the net and found nothing whatsoever.
Can anyone explain or refer me to an explanation to that term?
I use the DAC, and may be missing something not knowing what it does.
thanks

Have you looked at the ST Micro "AN3116 Application note, STM32TM’s ADC modes and their applications"
http://www.st.com/internet/com/TECHNICAL_RESOURCES/TECHNICAL_LITERATURE/APPLICATION_NOTE/CD00258017.pdfIt says:
"1.5 Injected conversion mode
1.5.1 Description
This mode is intended for use when conversion is triggered by an external event or by software.
The injected group has priority over the regular channel group. It interrupts the conversion of the current channel in the regular channel group."Which seems like a useful summary. There is a bit more detail in that document.
I searched for "STM32F adc injected group" at st.com, and that seemed like the best result, but there may be more.

Thanks gbulmer,
Yes, this is what I was looking for (and could not find myself).
It explaines it sufficiently.

samtal - I'm glad it helped. Other folks might want to have a look at that ST Micro document too.
I found it a useful to supplement RM0008. Maybe add a link to the wiki?Cheers, GB-)
Edit: I just noticed that the ADC application note is referenced here:
