   Hi, is any movie etc. or some "working" guide about perpetual bootloader mode? I am playing with these reset and but buttons and nothing change, when I hit reset and then immediately but and hold it, I see few slow flash of LED and then fast flash, still can't upload any sketch, and don't see anything (flash LED) change on, have that notice "dfu-util 0.8

   I also couldn't get upload to work on MAC OS (10.10.3) ... I fetched a new version of dfu-util (0.7) for MAC,that didn't help. so i even looked at IDE java code. it appears that IDE is doing a dfu-util -l to locate the USB device. The java expects a reply of the form "Found DFU: [0x...." The new version does not have the 0x prefix -- so it won't work with the MAC version of Maple IDE. I went back to the old/original version of dfu-util, and eventually (after playing with perpetual mode and reset.py) it started working as it should, e.g. doing auto-reloads.

   any how, I wonder if the 0.8 version of dfu-util has the 0x prefix in -l mode ?? (I don't have a 0.8 version to test)

   Answering my own query ... looking the 0.8 dfu-util sources, the Found message does not include the %0x prefix, so I don't think it will work the maple IDE for locating the USB device. the various dfu-util versions will work in uploading from perpetual bootloader mode

   USB IDs are typically printed without the 0x prefix. The ID /is/ a hexadecimal number. All tools will list them in hex and accept them in hex.
