Hi,
I have used Maple IDE on my laptop under Windows 7 for years and it worked well. Now I have installed the latest IDE on my new, Windows 8.1, laptop.
I first was blocked by the new feature of 8.1 which is that it refuses installing an unsigned driver. For luck, I found various tutorials on the theme "installing unsigned drivers", and I could, after a complicated restart procedure and selecting "force install of unsigned drivers" on bootup.
I then succeeded and could download a sketch in one of my boards (they are actually Olimex STM32, but this should not raise special problems), and run the application satisfactorily.
However, and I come to the problem, after one more reboot, the refusal of unsigned drivers is re-enforced, and I am not able to download any sketch to my board. The IDE says "Couldn't find the DFU device: [1EAF:0003]".
I have tried putting the board to perpetual bootloader mode, but it did not work either.
However, if I check the device manager, the MapleR3 device is there, and the driver manufacturer and version are correctly shown.
Any help ?
Has Anybody successfully used the IDE under Windows 8.1 ?
