Jeffrey Arputham (from Capitol College) graciously submitted detailed directions on how to get the Maple IDE (v0.0.12) installed on Windows 8 by disabling signed driver enforcement. It looks like there are some loose ends with IDE serial port detection, and we haven't tested with Windows 8 here, but perhaps these directions will be helpful for others:
