I recently obtained a STM32F4-Discovery board for evaluation (Hoping to use the Maple II when available) and I'm interested programming such via an Arduino like IDE for a Robotics club.

What's the current state of the Maple II, STM32F4-Discovery support in the Maple IDE or Wiring?

From what I see the Maple IDE development seems stale 0.12. For some reason support for 64bit Linux was dropped several releases prior. From the recent blog post it looks like the new direction is to move to Wiring as a base framework. Is there Wiring developers area for Maple II, STM32F4-Discovery boards?

There is some work done to create libraries for an F4 based board. As far as I know, based on the STM discovery too.

If you go around the threads, there is a lot of talk about this. Although I believe no definite set of software has been made, there is also a repo on github with all the work done so far.
I'm out using satellite internet now, so finding those is a bit hard for me, but they're on top in the forum.

@jronald, look at https://github.com/gbulmer/ , openstm32sw repo is probably what you're looking for. Also, if you're using linux, for on-board ST-LINK/V2 you may find useful following link: https://github.com/texane/stlink

I am running windows 7 and I have downloaded the STM32-STLink utility program. I am wanting to put the maple bootloader on my Discovery board using the on-board ST-LINK/V2 but, I need a binary file to use with the STM32-STLink utility program. I have downloaded the files found in the above replies but, have not figured out a solution to creating the binary.

For what it is worth, I downloaded the latest version of Attolic and I have been able to load example programs to the Discovery that way but, it is in the "STM" language for their libraries.

Can anyone supply me with a bootloader binary or help me understand how to create one using windows?

Dear Friends,
after evaluate the work of Ala42 on libmaple for STM32F4 , inside our community : http://www.virtualrobotix.com some guys decide to reimplement the wirish don't using libmaple but original ST library for F4 .

On top of wirish we put all Arducopter libary for manage sensor : baro , mpu6000 ecc ecc on repo : http://code.google.com/p/multipilot32/source/browse/ is possible to check the last revision of code with toolchain , library and example.
