The ST-LINK V2 dongle arrived today.
It connected fine to the Maple using ST's ST-LINK Utility. I upgraded the firmware in the dongle to the latest version w.o. any problems.
I was a bit disappointed when Crossworks debugger complained that it couldn't stop the processor. The solution was to instruct the debugger to avoid using reset when connecting to the processor. I'm experiencing the same when using the ST-LINK V1 debugger on my STM32VLDiscovery board. Maybe it's a Crossworks oddity, I haven't crosschecked w. say CooCox.
Bottom line: With an investment of $5.29 and by soldering in the 8 male pinheaders on your maple board, you may now debug your libmaple programs directly on the processor while they are running - Me likes !!!
