Regarding the adaptation of Maple for small hobby commercialization. Is it permissible to install the bootloader as is for a commercial Maple based project (so that the IDE can recognize it and work like an actual maple). The config.h contains VIDs and PIDs, is it ok to use them as is or must they be changed? The Arduino UNO is difficult to create variants for because of the USB VID and PID belong to Arduino.cc and they don't want their reuse, I'm assuming the new DUE will have this issue as well. If Maple allows it, and Arduino DUE does not, then it is clear which is the more Open Hardware system and will most likely have the most users in the long run, people do like to think about the possibility of selling their creations after all.
