However, some minor changes might have been pushed into master. I agree all of this needs to be better tracked. In the future, we will stamp the USB descriptors with the exact bootloader version so you can see what youre running via your device manager, or lsusb, or whatever your system supports. </p> <p>Incidentally we can parse this info from the call to dfu-util so the ide can do a bootloader version detect, which might be useful in certain cases. So far our strategy has been to keep any system dependence on the bootloader as minimal as possible, so users would never HAVE to change it to get new features. However, one thing were probably going to do as a bootloader upgrade is to thin the size (in both ram and flash) and give you guys another (edit) 1500 Bytes or so in RAM for your sketches.
