The virtual com port is closed when the bootloader is running and started again at the startup of your program, so in the windows device manager the virtual comport disappears and reappears after some seconds.</p> <p>&gt;and the error message is displayed in the compiler. Sometimes the Serial Port won't get closed properly which can cause Windows to refuse any program trying to access the port. Have you successfully loaded a sketch on Windows 7 before?
