You may also be able just reset the board when it says its looking for the dfu since it seems to run the bootloader before jumping to your code.

The USB serial communication is initialized as part of your sketch. As you have built the sketch for a different board, your sketch will hang somewhere (most probably even before your first instruction is run, in the board specific initialization routines), USB serial communication will not initialize, the maple board will not enumerate as a virtual serial port on your machine, and won't be found by the IDE.

To get it running again you just need to get the correct sketch on there. When in perpetual bootloader mode, there is no need to select a com port in the IDE (as the com port is only needed to reset the maple board into DFU mode, but as you are already in DFU mode when in perpetual boot loader mode, you're fine), just flash and ignore possible warnings.

hi,

i am working with both mini and r5, so i after i worked with r5 i forgot to change the board selection under tool. right now when i plug the mini to the usb, i can't find the board under port, so theres no com port detected, and i can't find libusb device either. i tried to reload the driver(using libusb inf-wizard) under win7 and normal mode under xp. the computer can recognize the board as a libusb device in Perpetual Bootloader Mode. but still can't recognize it as a com port
