Adam,

Thanks! Sounds great. And yes, using the low-level APIs is a good idea. We're happy with the reorg, and expect the new API to be stable for quite some time.

Note that this uses the lower-level libmaple SPI APIs, since I wanted to have a C API as well as a C++ API.

When libmaple's SPI API gets reorganized I will port it to the new API.

Leaf Labs people - is that the right thing to do?

Folks,

Here is a basic driver for Microchip 25xxx-series SPI EEPROMs. It only implements byte read and write. It can write about 327 bytes per second. Reads are much faster.

http://wiki.leaflabs.com/index.php?title=SPI_EEPROM_Library

If you need page-write capabilities (32 bytes at a time) let me know. I have not implemented that because I may not need it.
