I see no replies so I will post my current work around. Hopefully it will benefit someone.

My sketch uses USB to transfer the data to the host (Android). Development machine is Windows 7.

After using perpetual bootloader mode - upload the sketch.

USB port either disappears or says it is in use.

My workaround (painful)
Changed the driver to Windows abstract one, instead of Maple 003 (cant reset Maple driver without reboot everytime, reset is needed everytime Serial Monitor is run). Now I can reset the port in Device Manager (Disable, wait a few seconds, Enable).
Back in business. Ocassionally it locks up, then move the USB to another port or plugin a mouse there (this seems to release the port somehow).

Hi,

I am new to these forums, and we are trying out Maple mini for our data acquisition board. We currently use Teensy++2.0 and are happy with it. We wanted to make the next version a little bigger and with more algorithms to run on acquisition board. We acquire the data and these data are transferred to an Android tablet over USB at full speed.

I am currently frustrated with inconsistency of Maple mini. It only runs intermittently when on Android platform. It runs ocassionally with Serial monitor but it keeps losing the port not seeing, seeing as being used (when it is the only application running, and OS marks it as available). Are there patches available for more robust USB/bootloader behaviour?

Cheers,

N
