Well as long as all the analog/digital pins are in the same order as a basic arduino board it should be fine. I just started testing each pin on a proto shield so once I confirm that the pins are the same ill use the I/O shield. Thanks for the help.

I can't find a schematic of the http://www.robotshop.com/dfrobot-i-o-expansion-board-arduino-v5.html so I can't tell.

It looks like there is only one active piece of electronics soldered onto the board. The other electronics (e.g. zigbee) can be removed.

well im trying to build a robot and need a breakout shield for servos, sensors, etc to plug into so i purchased the I/O expansion shield linked above but would it work with the maple? im afraid to plug anything into it and short out my maple. If the maples pins are in the same order as arduino then it should work fine, right? The 3.3V will be fine but i just want to make sure the maples pin order is the same as arduino so i can use this shield i already purchased. Thanks

DarkStar - what are you trying to do?

Some Maple pins will only operate at 3.3V
Some Maple pins do not appear on any header, and so can't be accessed.

hey everybody i was just wondering if anybody has made a shield to break out all the pins ie Analog/Digital Pins? I dont think my arduino I/O shield would work because i think i read in the compatibility docs that the maples pins are a little different then normal arduino boards is that right? If i need to etch my own shield does anybody have an eagle CAD files? Heres a link to the arduino I/O shield i already purchased if your wondering what im talking about.
