Just check if it is there.<br /> If you see 1KB of 0xff, then 1KB of your program, the 1KB of 0xff, you flashed a bootloader for a low density device, but need one for a high density device, which the RET6 is. When it is up again, Windows searches for new devices on this USB port. If your board has a separate power supply, you could also unplug the USB cable, wait a second and replug it to have the same effect.<br /> When no USB cable is plugged in (well, also when it is plugged in), the DP+ line must be high, pulled up by a 1.5k resistor. If it is low, no USB host will scan the bus for new devices. What Operating System are you using? USB 1.1 interfaces can communicate at two different speeds, 1.2Mbits and 12Mbits. The USB device interface needs to be able to signal to the host what speed it is running at before the host and the device can communicate. That signalling is done for low-speed and full-speed by the USB device to pulling-up one of the two USB data lines to about 3.3V using a 1.5K resistor. The Maple electronics can be used, though Siy has an elegant, and compact circuit on his boards. (Not sure if it works right there, RBT and RET are abit different, RET6 is more advanced)</p> <p>This is all just theory, but I will try it at the moment I receive Mini USB jack and passive elements. (Not planing to use 5V from USB, I have separate power, USB +5 will be not in use) </p>
