Hi thanks maby a direct link would have been better.

In kicad you open the project ncp_base.pro or something like that .pro that loads the settings with it.
If you try to open .sch you will have to tell it to open the lib files in the project level and in the schematic symbols library files .
They all come in the download.
The top header does not fit the maple that is the pinout for the active capacitive elctrodes that are non-contact electricaly shelded by feedback from a amp and from the patent shielded by non conductive solder mask.
the two pin headers provide a mechanical support for that part of the board.

Well I went with maple r5 because it uses .1 in grid I agree that is a bit annoying for people with r3 but the arduino and boards like it that don't fallow that are much harder to work with because the pins are not on a grid.

Now if you were talking about covering pin headers and maby I should notch the board smaller to allow more connectors to be avalable I can understand that.

The usb1232h dlp module or ft2232h development board takes up space and wireing if all the data for 8 inputs works allright with the maples serial port without high speed usb needed that would free up a lot of space.

If you can explain a little better what you mean that would be apreseated. Also thanks for taking a look.

Hey Josh, I tried to take a quick look at it but had trouble opening the schematics. I saw on the KiCad users list that you had a reply from a Jim Hughen and it seemed he had no problem opening the project; not sure what was going on but best guess is the path to your libs had a space in it, and it made Linux freak out. However, even when I manually added all your custom libs, I was still missing components and the schematic hierarchy seemed all borked. Maybe you could package all your custom components into one .lib file so it's easier for another user to manually add?

All the points Jim made in his email were good ones. The one worrying thing I notice right off the bat is the top header (P17 or P18 maybe? it is hard to tell). This looks like it won't fit into an unmodded Maple, because the headers there aren't on 0.1" spacing. If you're intending to use the unpopulated header spaces on Maple, be advised that there's still a space between pins 7 and 8 (pins 8 and 9 on your board) which isn't reflected in this design, so one of the pins will be left dangling.

Sorry it's not a more in-depth review, but hopefully you've got at least a jumping off point for your revisions. Keep us updated.

I am sending for prototipe boards of my kicad design can some people look?

It is ncp_base_8.zip

It is kicad and the libraries are in the library or schematic library folder their is a parts list and footprints in mod or footprints.

Its purpose is in peer reviewed articles on EMG decoding useing Linear Discriminant analisis they clasified EMG signals to detect indivigual hand or finger movements in real time.

So check out my kicad open source project and please tell me of any problems you find.

I tried to simplify it and did not use the onboard GPIO.
The processor I am using with it is the leaflabs maple ARM processor that can be programmed like the arduino.

The DLP FT2232H is a high speed USB chip to allow for future additions of more ads1298 EMG EEG system chips & their is a capacitive electrode design that is not quite finished.
The software uses LDA linear discriminant analisis so if anyone wants to help with that great.
