i done this 2 months ago. it's not interesting for me because i prefer j-link and now stm32vldiscovery. i decide add stm32f103cbt6 to bottom side of maple pcb with second usb connector (as on stm32vldiscovery board) and now work on combine ms visual studio and wingdb (+libmaple) packages for comfort development ide.

Very cool :) I for one would love to see a patch for that on the wiki when you're done with the port.

Thanks for answering my questions!

Apparently there's a patch for OpenOCD to add SWD support, and it will be mainlined in the 5.0 release. Definitely one the the reasons why Versaloon is looking more attractive than the Olimex adaptor.

When you say ported to the Maple, do you mean porting the Versaloon firmware to run on Maple? Or do you mean that there's some modifications that need to happen before the device will work with Maple as a JTAG target?

versaloon currently not support SWD over openocd. only jtag. it's easy ported to maple board. i test this configuration - it works.

I was about to order an Olimex JTAG adapter, but then this caught my eye: http://www.versaloon.com/

Has anyone had an experience with it? If so, does it work with Maple?
