wiranto - The Maple cortex-M3 is very different from an Arduino.

The Maple IDE looks like the Arduino IDE.
But the electronics is very different.
DO NOT assume that you understand how the Maple board works even though you understand Arduino board.

An Arduino has a 2nd dedicated IC which is the USB interface to the host PC.
It is always a USB serial device.
It will always be seen by the host PC as a USB serial device.

The Maple cortex-M3 does NOT have a dedicated USB interface chip.
The Maple USB interface is implemented by the Cortex-M3 chip.
When the LED is 'throbbing' (getting bright then dim) the Maple is in 'perpetual bootloader mode'.
It will never ever be seen by your host PC as a USB serial device in this mode.
In 'perpetual bootloader mode' the Maple is a USB DFU device.

The IDE should be able to upload a program when the Maple is in this state.

The Cortex-M3 will only run the program code to become a USB serial device AFTER you have successfully loaded a program.

This page explains how to 'Troubleshoot' problems:
http://leaflabs.com/docs/troubleshooting.html

Maybe this will help.

Mungkin ini akan membantu

Wiranto - The Maple korteks-M3 sangat berbeda dari Arduino.

The Maple IDE terlihat seperti Arduino IDE.
Tapi elektronik sangat berbeda.

The Maple korteks-M3 TIDAK memiliki chip USB interface khusus.
The Maple antarmuka USB dilaksanakan oleh chip Cortex-M3.

http://leaflabs.com/docs/troubleshooting.html

thanks for the information

but IDE that I use to ask for the execution of COM address code that I created. I've had a few days move slightly with maple and there has been no progress on the connection .. I hope with this forum I can continue this project maple cortex.

I used Arduino before application, so I think maple cortex is not much different as it has an IDE of leaflabs similar to the Arduino.

I am really new in this issue maple arm microcontroller

suggestions please ... thank you

wiranto - The Maple is capable of operating as two different USB devices.

It can be either a serial com device or a DFU device.

The Maple is a DFU device when it is ready for program upload, it is not a USB serial device when it is in this state.
So you will not see it as a com device when it is ready for program upload.

(Full disclosure, I am not a member of LeafLabs staff)

thanks for the fast reply email
I have tried to address the file has been recommended

but still failed, there has been no com address. may require serial communication drivers.

idea that I use maple-ide-0.0.12-windowsxp32 with windoes 7 64 bit PC.
I will give the display an image after installing to your email crenn6977@gmail.com http://www.crennsmind.com/Code/Maple/Maple_WinX64.zip

It sounds like your maple is in a mode called perpetual bootloader mode. It is waiting for a sketch to be uploaded. What version of windows are you using (including whether 32 or 64 bits) and what version of the Maple IDE?

If you're running Windows 64-bit, try the drivers I've put here:

my name Wiranto from Indonesia

I just learned about maple arm cortex, previously I worked with Arduino.
there are some obstacles that I faced when I want to connect a PC to a maple arm cortex was not detected. were detected only libusb-win32 device in device manager. roughly how can I bring up the serial port for connection maple arm cortex?

I use the software to upload the program to leaflabs maple arm microcontroller cortex, there may be other software advice that I can use?
