The Quickstart guide says the HelloWorld example is under the File -&gt; Examples -&gt; Maple menu, but it is actually under File -&gt; Examples -&gt; Stubs.</p> <p>2. When I first ran up the IDE, there were no entries in Tools -&gt; Board. When I stopped the IDE, and restarted, it was all fine.<br /> It might be worth giving a short overview of the sequence of events at the start of the guide, e.g.:<br /> 1. Download and install Maple IDE.<br /> 2. Plug in Maple, and accept network 'unconfigured" ...<br /> 3. Start Maple IDE, and upload Blink Test<br /> 4. Upload HelloWorld, and open Serial Monitor</p> <p>Or whatever the right sequence is.<br /> I think I read the detailed text, and used a sequence which didn't quite work, which might be off putting for a beginner.</p> <p>3. I uploaded the HelloWorld, ran it, and everything was fine, so I changed the code, uploaded again, and the Serial Monitor said the USB device wasn't found. I closed and opened it, and everything was fine. This is a small rough edge, which may need pondering on. Maybe mention in that part of the Quickstart guide the need to close the Serial Monitor.</p> <p>HTH - GB </p>
