Wow... It's been that long... I wound up going with a modification of the '644 processor board I posted.

I'll post a follow-up to my original post (didn't realize is was famous :) )

CAN is probably going to be painful no matter what. But do keep us posted if you have any success. My experience with ST and their libraries is that you might have more success starting from scratch and the stm32 programming manual, but still using the leaflabs toolchain and libmaple for everything else.

You will definitely have to remap the can port away from the USB pins to start. Pretty much everything is just a matter of writing the write numbers to the right registers. You can find out what the right numbers are by reading the stm32 programming manual http://leaflabs.com/docs/hardware/maple.html#recommended-reading

Hi there,
I've just bought a brand new Maple RET6, and I was wondering which was the quickest way to succeed using CAN bus ?

I've read a lot of things including this (famous !) topic : http://forums.leaflabs.com/topic.php?id=802

This seems to be quite painful...

Maybe using the STM IDE with their debugger will be easier ?

Need some advise !
Thank you in advance.
