Oops, yeah, that was it. I didn't realize there was an option under the "Tools" menu to control where the program code is downloaded to.

Sorry, I should have been a little more clear: It's not that the USB cable has to be connected, it's that the only time the user program loads and runs is when it was _just_ programmed by the computer. After being programmed the board can be reset successfully (via the reset button) but once it's power cycled all is lost.

I think I may have just answered my own question... it seems like the computer is programming my sketch into RAM, not FLASH.

Hi all,

I have a Maple r5 and am using IDE v0.0.12 (on a Mac running Lion).

I am able to download code to the Maple and it runs just fine, as long as the USB cable is attached to my computer. Actually, the program will continue to run fine after the cable is unplugged. But if I power cycle the Maple after I've disconnected it from my computer then the user program doesn't start up. It doesn't matter how many times I power cycle or how long I wait.

This problem occurs with the example sketches, "Blink" and "Button," as well as with my own program.

I've searched high and low on the web but haven't found anything helpful. Any ideas you folks have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
mark
