check the output of the IDE.
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\projects\maple\maple-ide-0.0.12-windowsxp32\hardware/tools/arm/bin/dfu-util": CreateProcess error=740, The requested operation requires elevation

this means you permisions have changed

go to hardware\tools\arm\bin
type dfu-util
and see if you get a run as admin dialog.
if so change permissions till it goes away.

another possibility is you have flashed the board to its limit.

Pin 2, you mean the boot2 pin? Is definitely low. The trace is cut on both sides on the circuit board so nothing is connected to it. I am not sure I really know what to do with this pin so I left it hang. It seemed to work so I was going to worry about it later.

I will remove the new circuit tonight and see if that makes a difference.

Is there something on Pin 2 by chance that is pulling the line low? That's the only thing off the top of my head that could be a possibility. The other thing you could check is if removing the latest addition to the circuit works or putting the maple mini into perpetual bootloader mode to upload new code, ensure that Maple Mini is selected in the IDE.

Updating java would affect the IDE rather than the Windows Device Manager.

I have a Maple Mini and have been building my application for a while now, adding circuit and logic as I get time. Everything has been working great until this morning. I added some more circuit to the project and when I tried to add some code to test it Windows could not recognize the USB device.

The last program that I was able to upload to the device still works, too bad its not the final version, lol.

Does anyone have an idea of what I should check for to help me understand and resolve the issue.

One thing that happened that is different is that java updated this morning.

Thanks
